Dr. Ravin Laxman Thatte
Dr. Ravindra Laxman Thatte is one of India’s most respected plastic and reconstructive surgeons, widely regarded as a pioneer whose innovations in skin flap techniques have shaped reconstructive surgery practice and education in India and internationally. His career reflects a rare combination of surgical excellence, academic leadership, and ethical depth.
He served as Honorary Professor and Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai, where he trained generations of surgeons and advanced landmark techniques, including the one stage turnover flap and pioneering research on venous flaps. He has also led charitable surgical initiatives providing care for children with cleft lip and palate from underserved communities.
Dr. Thatte is the only Indian surgeon to be accorded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh without appearing for any examination, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of plastic surgery. Dr. B. Rohith Shetty is a senior medical practitioner with over four decades of clinical experience across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and India. Trained and practiced in anaesthesia, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and family medicine, he brings a rare breadth of medical expertise combined with long-term engagement in community-based healthcare delivery in India.

Dr. Shailesh Ranade is a distinguished consultant in burns, plastic, and reconstructive surgery with deep clinical and systems-level expertise in burn care, wound management, and post-trauma rehabilitation. Based in Mumbai and associated with leading tertiary hospitals, he is widely recognised for advancing standards of reconstructive surgery and ethical patient care, including international recognition for excellence in wound care. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Ranade has played leadership roles within professional medical bodies, contributing to education, protocol development, and capacity building in plastic and burn surgery. Dr. Sunil Keswani is a senior plastic, reconstructive, and burns surgeon with extensive experience across acute burn care, reconstruction, and long-term rehabilitation within leading tertiary healthcare institutions in India. Widely respected for advancing clinical standards in burn treatment, he has contributed to innovative approaches such as amnion-based therapies and has consistently advocated for ethical, patient-centred models of reconstructive care. Beyond surgery, Dr. Keswani brings a systems-oriented perspective that recognises the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of recovery, aligning closely with modern public-health thinking. Ashok Mathai Kurien brings over four decades of experience in building large-scale institutions across media, communications, technology, and socially relevant innovation. As a pioneer of Indian satellite television and a founder-promoter of Zee TV and Dish TV, he has played a significant role in shaping how information and public messaging reach audiences across India, combining scale with long-term trust and engagement.
Beyond media, his work spans advertising, public relations, and health-focused technology innovation. His involvement in developing accessible antimicrobial products, including solutions designed for low-income communities and protective technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflects a sustained commitment to public health, dignity, and prevention.
